21st Century CCLC Grant Program

Overview of the Program

Dorsett Shoals Panther Clubhouse is a part of the 21st Century Community Learning Center federally funded grant program which concentrates on early intervention to help our students succeed in their education. 

This is a free program for qualifying students.  Qualification is dependent upon teacher referral as well as a student assessment to be examined by the director of the program.

Each child attending must have a current registration form on file each year.

Program hours are 3:00-5:15p.m. Monday- Thursday and 3:00-4:45 on Friday, on the days school is in session.

Regular daily attendance is a requirement of the grant.

Program Activities

Students have daily homework assistance, math instruction, physical education, and enrichment activities.  Enrichment activities are not limited to but do include: nutrition/cooking, life skills, character education, gardening, music, book club, and computer lab instruction.

Parent Responsibilities

Parents of these students are required to attend at least 4 parent meetings during the school year.  These meetings can include PTA meetings, parent/teacher conferences, school events, scheduled parent informational meetings, and special student performances.
